Howdy J. Klabenes;

I'm not sure if you're interested in interviewing an ARVN or an NVA/VC. It would be much easier to get in contact with an ARVN since some of them are now U.S. citizens and speak English, but I'd have to do some research on that. If you're more interested with interviewing someone who was "on the other side", then you have a problem unless you speak Vietnamese. I only have two contacts in Vietnam who speak English and only one of those would be appropriate to your purpose:

Ngo Tri DUONG (Sugar)
World News Dept.
Tien Phong (Pioneer) Daily Newspaper
Tien Phong Tower
15-Ho Xuan Huong Str.
Ha Noi-Vietnam

www.tienphongonline.com.vn
Email: Ngosugar@yahoo.com
Tel/fax: 84.4.9430785
Cellphone: 84.913510814

Mr. Ngo is a journalist who is interested in the Vietnamese War of Independence, but he himself is too young to have participated in it as a combatant. However, he speaks excellent English and knows many NVA/VC vets. If you contact him, mention my name because he owes me one because I sent him some copies of letters that I wrote from Vietnam which he translated into Vietnamese and published in an newspaper article.
