As Jeff said this is a long shot but there maybe a unit roster located in the archives of the association. If they corresponded and there are any letters left you would get a full name and unit such Company B 112th Infantry Regiment, 28th Division. The association would need more then just "Mike" to go on. You can try them at this address.
