I remember that night well. the vc got inside the lz how many I don't know. the 3 guys on lp that night were captured. the reason I remember so well I was on lp the night before. I was with 1/10th cav squadron maint. about 5 or 6 of them tried coming across the chopper pad and were nailed in their tracks. quite a few guys got hurt that night. onl remember hearing 1 died.
