Subject: fracture???

My two year old peacock suddenly developed a severe limp. He was very subdued for the first 36 hours and now is back to his normal self but for the dreadful limp. When he walks, he touches his bad leg to the floor only for a brief second whilst the other foot moves forward, he could never stand on it alone. When standing still he places it to the side or front so that it takes no weight or stands on one leg. My vet says she will come tomorrow if it is fractured??? How would i tell without her examining him?
She also said we may give him anti -inflamatories but doesn't know the dose for a peacock? can you help pease? thank thank thank you Helen

If your state has a poultry lab you couuld get information from that. Here in Georgia there is a big poultry industtry so there is a good lab. Please post an update here. I do want to know "the rest of the story"

She is coming again this Friday - i will let you know how he is thank you for your support
