The display (fan dance) can be done by peacocks, peahens,
and sometimes by very tiny fuzzy peachicks. Adults do it to
prove who is the alpha male or female and there will be
disputes about who is boss.
A peafowl who feels threatened can flash its tail to make itself look bigger to a predator or another peafowl.
Some juveniles display much earlier than others.
Peafowls have different personalities just like we do
