It sounds like astrophysics to me
As if someone told me he met Galileo just � the moment he wrote his famous "Discorsi"
or something like that.

and i would be so curious :
where was it exactly ?
what time was it ? what is day was it night ?
what whiskey did you drink ?
what is the complete story ?
would you tell it if someone ask ?
What did he tell you about the songs ?
What puzzled you in them ?
(my english is not so good, i can't get all the lyrics of "the evening visits..." if someone has written down the lyrics of this cd i'll be glad to read them).

I would have so much to ask
question so stupid
about the shoes he wore
about the movies he liked
about Rachel
and so on

question you would ask to a friend
but you don't
because you already know the answers
Because as a friend you just don't ask

Did you ever get a chance to meet him again ?

tell me so i could imagine i was there, hidden in the dark, listening,
tell me so i could dream the movie of it
(if i ever could make a movie it would be something made out of Drift,
I would take Drift as a synopsis and shoot the day he turned 25,
shoot the moment she put her things at the back of the car,
shoot the day she changed her hair from blond to black)

I will shoot the closing of the piano, like a door who will never be opened again
why ?

can you see that ?

I know we can't do that.
and i'm not so sure we never will
perhaps we can tell the story
would you do that ?
what do you think ?

it's a shame that so long time has passed and we're still so young and so full of stupid dreams
(only things i'll keep ?)
