This sounds like the same story I heard once before, where someone was putting on a car show and planned to donate the proceeds to a local charity, except that they had not gone through the minor formality of informing the charity. The big difference is that they were not selling items to make a personal profit under the guise of MAYBE restoring an old taxicab to look like a police car, and MAYBE making that ex-hack available to the charity sometime down the road IF and MAYBE it ever gets restored. The other guys also had an actual charity to benefit, not some non-existant museum that no one has heard about. Sounds like the FRAUD is taking place with the guy selling the t-shirts. Do you suppose the Conn. State Police is aware that Ford supposedly licensed this guy to use the Ford logo to run a money making venture using CSP's name? Do you suppose Ford is aware that some guy printing up t-shirts in his basement is tampering with the entire working relationship that exists between them and the State Police? Inquiring minds want to know!
