Subject: June 20th: “Band Management and DIY Festival Management” with Francis Coady

Francis Coady knows how to capture talent and package it. He's done it again and again with filmmakers, musicians and events. In this workshop he'll share his knowledge on how to manage an artist or your band, what to look for before signing a contract, as well as how to effectively run a festival. The change of landscape, what this means for your band/festival/artistic venture and ways of navigating through this financial crises will also be explored. Com ask all those burning questions, meet others looking to break into the industry, grow your networks and start the ball rolling.
Francis Coady founded The Coady Group in 2001, which focuses on artist management, talent agency representation, entertainment consultation and special events. They have since developed and supported musicians, film makers and creative types with one objective in mind: “To assist creative people reach their full potential”. He started the Bondi Short Film Festival, which has launched the careers of some of Australia’s finest filmmakers.
