He nods quickly, his breath growing hard and strong as he steadies himself uneasily to a stand. His hand still clenching a thick metal rod jutting loosely from a mound of debris, he steadies his vision on the sand below him, watching the thin dust sweep over the toe of his boot as his eyes train in thought. "Think I can make it." He spills optimistically, letting his hand clamp forcefully over her shoulder as he removes it from its previous support. He raises his eyes disconcertedly to hers, forcing a slight smile as he loosens his grip on her shoulder and moves his weight into his foot, to which he reacts with a slight grimace of pain.

"Thanks, Raven.." He splurts silently, allowing the silence of the moment to get to him. "Guess I owe you one." He smirks slightly as he begins a crude limp aside the mound of heaping rubble, his eyes focused on the distant horizon ahead.
