A light laugh escapes her lips at this last comment but she quickly lapses again into silence, concentrating on kicking the larger pieces of rubble out of their way.
Eventually, they reach the ATV.
She flicks the passenger door open, and wipes her face with the back of her hand as he gets into the vehicle. Leaning on the door frame for a moment, she shakes her injured leg, which was beginning to go numb and digs around in the back seat. Straighting, triumphant, she dropps the first-aid kit into the front. She slips around to the front and dropps gratefully into the drivers seat..
