Scribbling down the last of the names and ranks, she allows a sufficient period of time for an answer to Tsunami's question then speaks herself.
"Well. It seems we have a good assortment. Three spies, three rouges and five pilots."
Her cool, slitted gaze flicks to Yungutac, tone holding a tinge of impatience as she speaks to the man.
"Most of the people in this room could do any number of jobs, but are especially good at one or two of them. You said fighter pilot first. I'll assume that you consider your skills best used in that particular task."
She returns her attention to the entire table, gaze turning first to Tsunami then to the others, connecting the faces to their tasks in mental note.
"As I'm sure Tsunami will agree, the spies should be the first to head out to Venhydra. The Federation will undoubtably be doing likewise and we need information on their status before any plans we make can go into effect. On that note, those of us left here should be aware that there may be spies milling about. Watch what you say."
Clearing her throat quietly, she takes a sip of the provided water and continues.
"For those of you only just arrived, why don't we have a recap. Some months ago, the Alliance president Myra was murdered.. a Fed assassin somehow managed to find their way through our shields.. at the same time a number of Alliance fighters were imprisoned by the Feds and taken to Venhydra. They were rescued and taken back to Tanari where Tsunami was voted president and we were promptly bombed. The hall was destroyed.. leaving only those few of us who were in the basement. Needless to say, this was a devastating event for the Alliance. A brief skirmish followed that and then the Feds dissapeared."
She pauses for effect, the parched state of her dusty throat all to evident as she goes on.
"At this moment we have no idea what happened. It is my opinion that the remaining active Feds deserted.. or laid a trap. By then our own numbers had shrunken uncomfortably low and we decided to take advantage of the situation and take over the Venhydra complex while it seemed vacated... We were there for a few weeks.. perhaps even a month before the Feds miraculously reappeared and attacked. Tsunami was captured and we were outnumbered. Thankfully our luck was with us and we most of us managed to get out of the fray, rescue Tsunami and return here with a prisoner..."
