Author: Pugs
Subject: Pugs' character

Pugs is a jovial character, enjoys joking and mucking around with friends and this light-hearted demeanor is only dropped when the a percieved threat to himself or others arises or when performing his duties for the guild as Huntmaster or Knight Commander of the Wolf. When planning a hunt for the rangers, he is always cautious and at guild meetings he is always serious. On the field of battle, however, often his bezerker nature will claim him when confronted with foes of a particuarly dark nature.

Pugs has retained his drive to explore new lands from his youth. And spends much time travelling alone throughout the lands of Brittania and beyond in search of any new thing. Pugs delights in uncovering the hidden, wether it be a small waterfall in a secluded valley, the ruins of an old farmstead, or secret passages deep inside dungeons. This is and extension of his basic curiosity as to the nature and workings of the many things in Britannia.

Pugs is never one to decline a challenge and some would say he cannot see past the frivolous tales of popular bards to the true nature of Honor, but his dedication to understanding the virtues and adhering to their code of ethics will not be shaken by anything.

Pugs is at times over-zealous, prone to fits of self-righteousness and terriably vengeful when confronted by those whom seek to do wrong to others. These traits can make him short-sighted in some reguards and is the primary reason for his extreme dislike of politics. An example of this was recently heared in a heated argument in an inn in Jholem. "The ends do NOT justify the means!" Pugs was heard to bellow. "Both the ends and the means must be virtuous!" and then he would hear no more on the subject.

Despite this, Pugs is an introspective character, always questioning his actions and decisions to ensure they are virtuous. He is open-minded but this tends to be limited to those he respects; friends and well known public figures.

Okay guys. This is the kind of character profile I'd really like to see more of. This is the kind of information I need about your chars to be able to write more detailed stories involving them. I've been running with a fair degree of poetic license lately, but if you have an idea of who your character is and what his position in Britannia is then post it, and I'll include you in stories that will hopefully enhance TDR into a more detailed community. I really like the idea of RP in TDR, and though it's looking like it could be a fair bit of work at first, I think it will get a fair bit easier with practice. :)

have fun all,
Pugs
