I respect your point of view lance and moriath. I think that lurers and griefers are idiots but I still think they play a part in uo to add diversity. As for trammel, I will never be sold on the idea that it was a grreat thing for uo.
For when trammel came into being, a significant proportion of ppl playing uo decided to give up uo as it had become boring. Most of these ppl had explored dungeons and fought all the monsters that could be found in uo. So the majority of them began pvping, pking, chaos/order wars, and guild warring because the fact that they had become powerful and experienced chars and had done all that could be done in the uo world apart fwom pvping. A majority of ppl in uo pre-tram were pvp'ers who also had mules to create income in order for them tho continue warring/pvping. The uo economy pre tram was thriving and it had diversity. there was way more vendors and shops in uo back in pre tram. You countyer by saying that ppl left uo and thats the reason for the lack of numbers of vendors. I don't disagree with that, but the left because osi had introduce trammel, to protect the minority of the times who were whining about pks and the game not being cuddle pie enough for them. Osi introduce the changes to appease the minority and in that process they alienated the majority, who have now become the minority. I know that trammel debate is old news, but in respect to ppl whining about lurers and griefers in todays uo, you should be so lucky that you are, in some small way through these idiots, experiencing a taste of the old uo when the game was at it's all conquering self.
(games like everquest, daoc ect.. are not the reason why ppl left uo, if you decide to use that point to counter some of my points. Those games are still nowhere as great as uo (in the pre tram uo that is)

Message of the day

In the movie " Field of Dreams" Kevin Costner was told " I you build it, they will come!"

A similiar saying can be attached to uo with a silent majority whispering to Osi " If you dismantle Trammel, they will come{back}"......To UO, but I feel no matter what osi do, they will never come back to uo, because of they had been betrayed by osi!!!

Nuff Said!!
