Earth Pageant Productions aims to find a unique American woman who will proudly represent her nation in fulfilling the ideals of the competition - that beauty queens can be strong and effective advocates for Mother Earth. The winner of the 2006 Earth USA pageant will be flown, all expenses paid, to Santiago Chile. She will compete with contestants from over 80 countries in the third largest internationally televised pageant. The Miss Earth pageant is an event of style and glamour where women from all over the world are empowered to bring new meaning to beauty pageants by focusing on and promoting environmental awareness. http://www.missearthusa.com/ Pictures of activities from this year's miss USA-Earth: Tree Planting - It's hard work, but it's all for the environment! Delegates participated in a tree planting ceremony at the Sunridge Village Retirement and Assisted Living Community. Colorado River Cleanup - The Miss Earth USA 2006 delegates are doing their part for the environment. Miss Rocky Mountain States; Meredith McCannel joins in a cleanup project along the beautiful Colorado River. Car Museum - The Car Museum at the Riverside Hotel provided another photo opportunity. These young women have allot of get up and go! Comedy Club - All dressed up and places to go! A night at the Flamingo Hotel Comedy Club and it was time for some laughs. Sunridge Village - More than just trees got planted at Sunridge Village. The girls couldn't resist planting a kiss on one of their favorite residents.
