Subject: '86 T/A Stalling Problem

I own a 1986 T/A with a V8 High Output 305 under the hood. For the longest time the car has been stalling when I slow down but it doesn't happen all the time. When I begin to slow down I watch the tach and as it's gearing down (auto transmission) to that last gear the RPMs drop to almost zero. The car shudders a little and either revs back up to around 1000 RPMs or quits. It seems to happen more often when it's hot outside but it has died in the colder weather too. I'm inclined to think it's an electrical problem rather than fuel but I really have no clue. Can anyone out there help me?

you should run a diagnostic on the computer, that should help. what are the specs on your car (fuel injection or carb... things like that)
