New GTO

You know what, I have been browsing this board and reading all the Monaro bashing and finally have had enough. Bottom line is this, what you retro morons think is not even a factor. The Monaro is coming as the GTO and no matter how much you cry and scream it isnt going to change. All of you will just have to live with the fact that an Aussie car was deemed better than anything you had to offer and Robert Lutz decided to lay it all on the table.
You can call the car a crappy import, but I am sure a few months after its release half of you will all be lining up to buy one. I hope the first one that rolls off the production line has a 'Judge' decal slapped on to it and I hope further that some young 18 yr old punk blows you off the road with it while you sit at the lights in your piece of sh#t Firebird.

i don't have a problem with the new GTO, i think it's a good idea that GM is finally selling correct wheel drive cars. but it just needs to be a little more agressive looking.

i agree, this may be the best new car to wear a GM badge. people arent attacking the idea of an imported car, they are attacking the idea of importing a car and putting the name of one of the best cars to ever grace the planet on this new car. it's kinda like putting nova badges on a toyota, the toyota may be a good car, but it aint a nova. same thing with the GTO, it may be a good car, but it aint a GTO.

pick up the latest issue of car craft, those guys put in a good word for the monaro.
