Subject: Philip's artical

I think the best question raised in your artical was, is there a Pontiac any more. Do they have any say in any decisions (Vibe, new GTO, Solice looks good and feed back is good, but will Pontiac have any say in whether or not they will actually sell the car?). Can Pontiac look the customer in the eyes and say they can't do even more with "their" 5.7 litter V-8 than the GTO. No, b/c GM has the Vette, end of story. I still remember when my Dad bought a Firehawk in 1993. 300 hp about a decade ago, and all I could dream about is having the newest version when I could aford it some day, but a decade latter the Firehawk is 335 hp, and the Z06 is 405 hp. Pontiac doesn't believe in the younger generation further than immitating what others are selling. I drive a 94 Formula now and love it, but what will I get in 4 years when the engine says "no more". Do I have to wait untill I'm fifty to aford the newest Vette (assumeing its still around-maybe I can be like every one else who owns one now, old and afraid to use the power)? Lately I've actually thought about getting a little rice burner and turbo charging it, I can't beleive I'm thinking like that but I personally feel that there is no Pontiac and GM has forgoten the youth market that is looking for something not only fast, but MEAN and FAST and American. Just speaking from one type of customer out there.
