I believe this will fit in all 2nd Gen Firebirds. These are the 82-92 year models. If you the rebuilt the engine to have a few more extra horsepower, I would put it into any 2nd Gen firebirds that have the 4-banger under the hood. The V6 will certainly out perform these little engines.

i belive i have to agree with Wildcat (mostly), as far as the engine goes. the 3rd gen f-bodies had several different V6s, and not all of them were good, in fact some werent even worthy of being a boat anchor. if you put that engine in a 2nd gen, it wont feel as powerful as your 3rd gen did, due to the lack of an overdrive tranny and about 500 lbs of extra weight along with the supremely lame gears that were offered. so i guess the question is: what engine is your V6?
