i belive i have to agree with Wildcat (mostly), as far as the engine goes. the 3rd gen f-bodies had several different V6s, and not all of them were good, in fact some werent even worthy of being a boat anchor. if you put that engine in a 2nd gen, it wont feel as powerful as your 3rd gen did, due to the lack of an overdrive tranny and about 500 lbs of extra weight along with the supremely lame gears that were offered. so i guess the question is: what engine is your V6?

HA! I've got you all beat, I have an 1983 Formula firebird W/ T-tops.... The Chassy is rusted through, I need a new body for my engine. LOL. This is what I have.. Highout-put V8 (305) in my firebird, 6's and 4's hehehhe....
