Subject: 71' 455 swap

i am in the process of fixing up my 68' firebird. this car is going to be made for racing and nothing else. I want to replace the 350 it has for a 71' 455 but i am not sure if it will fit. if anyone has anything to say about this or if anyone knows if it will fit please e-mail me back a.s.a.p. thanks for any response.

Yes, it will fit. All 350, 389, 400, 421, 428, and 455 pontiac engine is the same size block with identical engine mount. It will be a bolt-in, you may need to think about getting a TH400 transmission if its a automatic though.
