Firebird(starts,runs,quits,starts,runs,quits, ect.)

I started to leave the other day and it(92 Firebird 6 cyl.) would not start.It appeared that it wasn't even firing.The engine would turnover good and fast, but would not start.About 15 minutes later it fired right up,so I headed out and approximately 5 miles from the house it quits again and refuses to start.About 30 minutes later it started up and ran fine again(no sputtering or cutting out.I made it to a friend of mines garage and kaput ,same thing.He has done the same thing with it for 2 days,Start the engine let it run and watch it go dead.Sometimes it will run for 20 - 30 minutes before it quits again.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what could cause this.Any info would be greatly appreciated.Thanks Darrell
