Subject: 2004 GTO

Being that Pontiac didn't put the 400 in the GTO how about
at least coming out with some sort of ram air package with special heads and cam, on hood tach, rearend gears suitable to the cars namesake afterall it does have a 6 speed with dual overdrives or just change the transmission to a 5+1 and keep the same gears Pontiac presently has in it.
Is this car going to have the skip shift switch added to the manual transmission like the Firebird and Trans ams did?
How about the servo assembly in the automatics, is it going to be downgraded? I think Pontiac shouldn't do anything to take away any of the performance of this car as they did in the past to the Firebird and Trans Am. So what if it is faster than the Corvette. Delorean wanted to compete against the vette originally but GM wouldn't allow him to put an independent rearend under the original GTO. If the car is true to its namesake it will be faster than a vette off the showroom floor, the original GTOs were.
