Subject: 1996 Pontiac Firebird (deadly weapon) HELP !

I purchased my 1996 Pontiac Firebird from a dealer 9 months ago, I had started noticing little things like the frame gaps getting larger on one side and smaller on the other. Eventually the molding on the inside has buckled apart from the stress of this (what I'm calling) torqueing of the frame. The Windsield is popping off the auto and all the sealed are cracked and torn away. Also, I was parked sideways overnight on a very, very slight downhill angle and when I got into my car in the morning something snapped in the break pedal and I had no breaks. I have had 4 alignments in te last 7 months (Toe on front drivers wheel keeps going out). Replaced: wheels, shocks, breaks, rack n pinion. Now the car is still torqing and tere is a leak in the Fuel line somewhere (got 64 miles to the tank).

So, I ran a Carfax and found that the car was in a front end collision several years back (it hit a ditch) which was reported by a police department in a differant state. There is massive glue residue between the head liner and the hood (yes that is popping off as well) and lots of rust. There is evidence of parts of the frame being welded together under the hood, ect... I took it to a Unibody frame specialist and he said e would have to take the entire car apart piece by piece to find the part that is causing the torquing and would cost thousands in labor alone. I have $12,000 invested in this car already and don't want to put any more money into it until it is fixed.

BTW, the delaer I bought te car from say's that the torquing is a common problem with that type of car. What do you think I should do? Any suggestions?

Hello
Sorry to inform you but the dealer is full of sh t, there is no way a 96 would have that problem and a 98 wouldnt the 98 has much more power and torgue than the 96. Sounds like ure frame is bent and if I were you and you still had all the paper work on the work you had to have done Id call a lawyer. How long has it been since u had the car. Email me and Ill give you an option lol
