Yes, they are consenting by remaining. By bringing their spirit-blessed holiness into these places, but not preaching condemnatin of sin and repentance -- instead simply "fitting in" to avoid conflict -- are merely legitimatizing the whole outfit, and branding themselves indelibly as part of the movement.

What they dont' realize is that they are branding everyone else, too. The minority of the church at Nauvoo that practiced polygamy has convinced the world that belief in the Book of Mormon and membership in the LDS church is synonymous with polygamy. The CofC, with its minority tail of homophiliacs wagging the dog have begun to convince everyone that RLDSism is synonymous with sodomy.

And so, those cognizant of church history, who know well the RLDS resentment of the LDS polygamists, have no fear of stirring up the same resentment with their minority opinion and practice of open homosexuality.

Churches like the Metropolitan Community Church of the Resurrection, etc. who make no secret of their church's 100% support of homosexuality do not cause problems for their members, because the majority of the church memberships are either homosexual or prohomosexual. Thus there is no silenced majority in the church being unjustly tarred with the same brush as the elite. That's why there are no raging schisms with the MCC as in the CofC.
