Yeah, it's "bait and switch" tactics. If I had known the load of [expletive deleted] that they were going to serve the WCC, I'd have sent copies of Sunday School lessons from every decade from 1860 to 1990 detailing the claimed status of the CofC as the prehyphenated Mormon church founded by Joseph Smith, Jr. in 1830. I never had thought it possible, but the deceptions practiced by the CofC have surpassed those of the LDS General Authorities and left the latter behind in the dust.

And, of course, the WCC must know the truth anyway. They were just looking for some sort of excuse to accept the CofC for political reasons. Just as Pilate wondered if evil was afoot when he saw the Sadducees and Pharisees (mortal enemies) cooperating to prosecute Jesus, one cannot help but know that skullduggery is afoot when the "One True Church," with living oracles and continuing revelation (the natural enemy of orthodox --and every other kind of Christianity) teams up with an ecumenical protestant organization like the WCC.
