Subject: Lenten scriptures for our day

Ever since Satan has been cast out of heaven he has been wroth with mankind. He has been seeking to destroy the truth of God. He is called a liar and the great deceiver for a reason. He tells half-truths to suck us in and blind us from the truth. And this is fairly easy. If you are like me, I didn�t bother reading the 3 standard books, but instead relied on whatever the priesthood taught and said. As the scriptures say, �evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.� Because, �certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.� Satan is working like mad because he knows he has but a short time left."

Yea, the Lord, even Jesus, whose coming is not until after there cometh a falling away, by the working of Satan with all power, and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie; That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12
