Lois, your perception may be extreme, but if I were to show you with the literal source material the full eztent of what all was going on, it would be Too Much Info, but more than likely your perception would change by only a few degrees, even after the information overload, so I guess we can lay these adventures aside for awhile, at least. However I hope that I have demonstrated that I know that the CofC hierarchy is not the only bunch of liars in the world -- I think that their self-centered view leads them to think that I believe that they are the only untrustworthy people in the world. But the lessons learned from detecting lies and manipulation have a universal application -- because dealing with an exalted elder who can't tell the truth is no different than dealing with a an alcoholic sodbuster, an alcoholic beautician, or an alcoholic taxi service operator. The tell-tale trail is out there in plain sight -- you don't even have to meet these people to know what is going on. But as Jesus said, "By their fruits ye shall know them." However, around the globe, in every language, their universal response to having their fruit confidentially and quietly inspected is: "How dare you!!!??? You don't even know me! If you stay away from me to keep from being ripped off or raped, you are judging me!"

What a difference it would make if the church applied this policy across the board, and refuse to ordain people whose understanding of the gospel does not include awareness of, and adherence to Biblical doctrines! On the weighty matters of the gospel, the CofC leadership has drifted out to sea in a desperately leaking boat.

If you are in the CofC and need help or counseling, don't call the First Presidency. Call the Coast Guard.

If you aren't in the CofC, do not join. All you are wanted for is to do hard labor manning the pumps -- the Andrea Doria has collided with reality.
