Just imagine if we actually obeyed the commandments of the Lord. God didn't give us commandments so that He could punish us if we disobeyed them. He gave us commandments for our well being.

I'm going to list the ten commandments. Then I will pick one of them and list all the ills of the world that we have because we don't obey it.

You shall have no other gods before me.

You shall not make for yourselves any graven image.

�Graven images� are things that we worship instead of God. Do you think it has to be a statue? Not necessarily. Here we go, I�ll list some things we worship instead of God, and also some examples of the ridiculousness that this causes.

�Keeping up with the Jones�s�, commercials that try to convince us to be �special� for buying a certain product, ego inflated celebrities, paparazzi, inquiring magazines at the grocery store check stand, the whole class system, dishonest politicians, a lot of bankruptcies, anorexia, bulimia, Barbie wannabees

You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.

Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.

Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God gives you.

You shall not kill.

You shall not commit adultery.

You shall not steal.

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

You shall not covet anything that is your neighbor's.
