Oh, John can figure it out just fine. He is delusional, not stupid. Intelligence is highly valued by the Community of Christ. That's why he is in the priesthood. It's just that the Community of Christ wants intelligence without wisdom.

An example of the intelligent but delusional is the sociologist who can correlate all the massive data regarding illegitimate births, drug use, abuse of children, emotional disorders, crime, gender disorder, etc. Then he concludes that the problem lies with the illegitimate children and announces that they should be aborted to fix all the problems.
