Subject: Be careful What You Laugh at Redux

During the early 1990's our current secretary of state explained her personal philosophy: "It takes a village to raise a child." Due to her husband's political play of catering to homosexuals by (temporarily, as it turned out) doing away with DADT, a local comedy act in Chicago featured an actress made up as her saying, "The Village People want your children." That bit of buffonery was a real hoot back then.

Now it isn't funny. It has become increasingly obvious that the Secretary of State actually did mean something like that. And the behavior of the Community of Christ has certainly amplified the concern.

Every plea for parents to bring their children to the CofC Sunday school is just a continuation of the former (but no longer) punchline: "The homosexual lifestyle wants your children."
