John, when I become a big enough apostate to join the NCC, I will be able to walk away. That may sound paradoxical. AFter, all you would say that if I believe (or disbelieve) the same way that you do, there'd no longer be a conflict, but the opposite is true. When I get to the point that I believe the exact same things that you do -- that the Bible means the Massoretic Text and the Wescott and Hort Greek text, that the BoM and the D&C are not scripture, but just a head game hobby of false prophets, and that Joseph Smith, Jr. did not restore the Christian church, there will nothing left in the CofC for me. Then you can finish it off by having sodomy demonstrations on the podium at Conference, for all I would care.

Your attempts to "revision" the church are looking more and more like the wise-guy's attempt to muscle in on Pepsi by coming up with "New Coke." We all remember that debacle. Nobody wants New Coke. The people who like Pepsi will keep drinking Pepsi. And nobody really likes "New RLDS," either. Those who like Protestantism will just keep being Protestant.

You are just peddling a product, John, and the push to imitate someone else's product just demonstrates that even the CofC itself really doesn't believe in it's own product.
