Lois, the Communitarians' attack on the RLDS with lawsuits merely justifies our charactirization of the Community of Christ as a nonChristian organization.

1 Corinthians 6:4-11 tells us not only that real Christians should not go to law against each other to demand their rights (but rather let themselves be "defrauded,") it also tells us that homosexuality, like adultery, theft, and murder is one of the many lifestyles that Christ actively provides the power to overcome, and that the real Christians he is addressing HAVE OVERCOME AND ABANDONED those lifestyles. So examining the Bible for information on the Community of Christ's corporate behavior pulls up the very scripture that refutes its false claim that homosexuals are born that way and can't change. Of course they can't change -- not if they are being led by infidels who deny the power of Jesus Christ to save us from sin.

Anyone who says that homosexuals are born that way and can't change is entitled to be an atheist, or a Buddhist. But there is no place for them among the ranks of the apostles of Jesus Christ.

Paul says brothers in Christ don't sue each other. The CofC says it accepts the New Testament as part of its standard of doctrine. Are we to assume from this that the CofC thinks its o.k. to sue its own members in good standing at Devon Park, because those members are not part of the brotherhood of Christ. How uninclusive and intolerant can you get? Many people whom the CofC and its official, authorized homosexual arm GALA have characterized as bigoted and intolerant have NEVER sued a homosexual, or an adulterer, or a liberal.

We should rejoice over the Devon Pazk lawsuit, because even if the CofC ultimately wins in secular court, it has lost the propaganda battle, because by suing it has declared its own inherent intolerance and exclusive behavior.
