Lois, I, for one do not believe that homsexuals are guaranteed to be child molesters. That said, I'd like to point out that the rules supposedly designed to protect children in the church from predators are absolutely useless. Why? Because when the First Presidency approved of and attended ordination services for avowed homosexuals, (services which are prohibited by THE RULES,) they tacitly announced that rules exist only to be broken.

Nowadays, the first person who has a child molested by anyone in the priesthood will probably find out that, despite the rules, the President of the church gave adminstrative approval to break the rules regarding the monitoring of "problem" priesthood members because "he could not bring himself to enforce them."

The rules in the CofC are like the SEC rules. Remember the SEC? That was the organization charged with overseeing stock and securities trading. You know, the ones who were so busy downloading porn on their work computers that they didn't notice that Bernie Madoff had stolen 50 billion dollars? They just couldn't bring themselves to the point of suspecting him. Must have been a call of the Spirit that led them to leave him on the loose.
George
