Mamusz, in NEWSPEAK, a phobia is a rational fear, held by a conservative, of something that is statistically likely to happen.

In plain English, a phobia is an irrational fear held by anybody.

When conservatives pulled out of the RLDS church over women's ordination, they did so because they knew that the church would become a dictatorship that would bend over backwards to cater to sexual deviants. IN 1986, this was referred to as an irrational fear, because "as we all know, the Standing High Council forbade homosexual ordinations." Nowadays we know that references to irrational fears allegedly held by Restorationists were just smears by the propagandists working for the hierarchy.

When forum participants mentioned the fact that many congregations were locked out of their buildings by the Dictatorship of the Pervertariat, one disinformation specialist tried to claim to those unknowledgeable about the subject that the "lockouts" referred to the locking of the church office buildings in Independence out of fear of physical violence from Restorationist terrorists. That, of course, in plain English, with no propaganda, is an irrational fear. Just look at the statistics for violence over the last 50 years, and you will see that the likelihood of any actual conservative (as opposed to an alleged conservative such as Charles Manson or the hippies at the 1968 Chicago DNC convention) committing a terrorist act is so close to zero that the difference doesn't count.

Nowadays, when we ask for definitions of common words, we have to know which dialect is being spoken -- liberal or conservative.

George
