I agree with you, Mamusz. But acceptance and tolerance isn't what these folks are after. What they want is promotion and celebration, and legal recognition as a "protected class."

The demand that explanations and descriptions of homosexual acts and relationships be taught to first graders in school just shows how big the chip on the shoulder is here. Those making such demands -- and they are by no means being made by all homosexuals, just the activist troublemakers -- tactily admit their fears that the distaste or revulsion that most of society has for open homosexuality goes all the way back to the womb, just as they claim that their own enjoyment and preference for it goes back that far.

BTW, I went to a very nice Protestant church today. The minister was preaching on II Timothy 3. One of the points that he made is that it is dead religion that only offers platitudes such as "God made you that way -- get over it." He also stated that it is grave error to take the freedom from sin that Christ's sacrifice brings to us and turn it into a license to sin.

In his sermon, homosexuality was not specifically mentioned or alluded to. It is equal to any other sin, except for the gravity of its temporal and physical consequences, so in a frank discussion of the Christian's attitude toward sin it does not have to be singled out for criticism the way dead churches single it out for praise.

BTW, I selected this church because it did not have a female pastor. I won't tell other denominations they can't ordain women to a non-Old Testament priesthood, but after my experiences with the Feminist Revolutionaries in the Communitarian Church, I prefer not to attend a church with a female pastor.

A cat that has sat on a hot stove lid will never sit on a hot stove lid again. He won't sit on any stove lid. In fact, he won't even sit on anything that's flat and round. Ever again.
