The Cross

In another thread there was a negative post about the modern day peace symbol being disgusting. Yet, we has Christians usually think nothing at all of using the cross in jewelry, stationary, on our building etc etc...yet the most atrocious event and horrible crucifixion happens on a cross. Seems to me we would be much better off to use an empty tomb, the protestant symbol of a fish or our own Church seal rather than a cross.

Many, many men were crucified on crosses during Jesus' time on earth. It was a thing that struck fear in the heart of his disciples and other men that lived in that area. Yet....some prefer it to about any other symbol. Really doesn't make sense does it?
