John, the issue has been decided as surely as the issue of how many opposition candidates would be on the ballot next to Saddam's name when the Baathist Party ruled Iraq.

The choice is:

Any president you want, as long as it's Steve Veazey.

Any name for the church as long as it's "Community of Christ"

Any priesthood rules you want, as long as they endorse homosexuality.

Any rules on marriage as long as they include same-sex marriage.

If Haman had just bothered to consult the Jews before issuing his extermination edict, some of them might have been dumb enough to think that it was their own idea.

It won't do any good, John, because doing anything good is not the province of the CofC these days, not doctrine-wise nor procedure-wise.
