John, I'm not surprised that you will not answer and that you blame your refusal on us. The great loss is that you want to contribute so badly, but your association with the Community of Christ makes it impossible to do so. I am sad about this, because you are a nice person. However, the connection of someone like you with the CofC is analogous to that of a Home for Wayward Girls with unwise business associations with a Nevada Brothel. Despite whatever good intentions and spiritual benevolence you possess, no one who understands the external association you have can trust you on spiritual matters.

I just don't understand why you could not bring yourself to post a single scripture from the official and recognized scriptures of your own faith. That is confusion enough for me.

But the information that I provided about the priest is true. Until those things are dealt with, the CofC cannot move on. You may not realize it, but the CofC is like the U.S. government. It wants to go forward and do many beneficial and good things, but it refuses to deal with the heavy debts, spritual and financial, respectively that are a ball and chain to its performance of its duties. The spritual credit rating of the CofC feel even before the financial credit rating of the U.S. government, and for the same reason: obsessive and excessive pandering to interests inimical to its own existence.

I heard an interview with a Congresswoman on TV the other day. She was bold and progressive, and wanted to "invest in our future." The interviewer asked her, "With what? We are worse than broke -- we are trillions in debt." Until the leaders of the U.S., like tjhose of the CofC, wake up to reality of how they got themselves and everyone else into the mess we're in, there will be no visionary leadership or advancement into the future of God's great cause. There will only be confusion, distrust, and desperation.
