Actually, John, that's not true. We read: [Luke 9:5] "And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them."

The appropriate way is to go outside the city, not tell us that you're going to shake off the dust of your feet against our board.

We DID receive you and, you felt the need to tell us you were doing it.
