I would like to point out, in addition, that a church with less than 15,000 members is not eligible to join the NCC. It is fortunate that the Community of Christ (erroneously referred to as "The Community of Christ Church" by its understandably confused members) managed to get into the National Council of Churches before its numbers dwindled to the point of ineligibility. I wonder if, as part of the deceptive propaganda presented to the NCC membership committee, propaganda containing the claim that CofC was NOT founded by Joseph Smith, Jr. also included false membership statistics.

I recall that in Richard Price's silencing interview back in the 1980's, O.C. Henson assured Elder Price that the leadership had absolutely no intention of joining the NCC. That was similar to the current claim that GALA is not an official arm of the church.

What a tangled web. I'm glad I got out before I got to meet the Spider.
