Anyone can see right through the hierarchy's claims that it and GALA have nothing to do with each other. Less than five years after GALA was started, the First Presidency began giving "administrative approval" for same-sex shacking up ceremonies to be held. Nothing was said to the World Conference about any of this, and its permission was not asked.

It was rather like our president's war in Libya. He didn't ask anybody. He just gave "adminstrative approval."
