John, Lois is predicting what will happen in the future. Twenty years ago, no one thought that the church would brazenly ordain homosexuals, or perform something as radically immoral as shacking up ceremonies, much less without Conference action. But at that point twenty years ago, it was ALREADY happening.

Anyone who says, "It can't happen in the CofC" is being very foolish. ANYTHING can happen in the CofC, because it has no moorings left. Whatever the FP feels like doing, it will do if it can get away with it, and it will teach whatever it wants, as long as there is still someone dumb enough to listen.
