tangled mess

does anybody know how to untangle a ski rope from a jet boat i have all the material off the shaft by the in take grate but it seems some lo9dged where the shaft and boat meet going up into engine and its very tight help!

I had exactly the same problem. Finally I removed the grate from hull of boat, then removed bearing from forward end of drive shaft, this allowed the shaft & impellor to be pulled backward, and enabling rope to be removed. Be aware that when you remove the bearing cover, you will lose the gearcase oil, this is easily replaced though. Hope this helps if you haven't already solved the problem.
