Will this Place Diverter work on a 1999 Sea Ray Sea Rayder with 175 Merc sport jet. Does it eliminate porpoiseing?

Pull the spark plug and check the bottom cylinder. If it is filling up with gas that will prevent the engine from running or even starting, until the gas is drained out. If that is what you find it is probably a diaphram from the fuel pump which has gone bad and is filling the lower cylinder so it can not compress.
