Looks like we're getting thrown off the plane too.
Must be more Essense and Jet reporters on the way.

I guess it was my fault for starting all of this...just an attempt originally at a political "cartoon" that touched a raw nerve.
I see little point though in deleting, as there is not much happening yet on the basketball front ,and when there were posts there recently, the threads always degenerated into personal attacks.
If someone chooses not to read the posts of Cella,Sludge,Peackock ,Loyal,SPCfan or me,they can easily do so .
Censorship here, argues as liberal bias against Cella.Let the man have his say. If you don't like it-don't read him.

Cindy - Found your original satire very amusing and creative. Unfortunately there are those with delicate sensibilities who argue for the first amendment only when it supports their right to free speech. Only one participant had his feathers ruffled, resulting in the considerable amount of debate that ensued.

Like Big Brother, we must accept that he who holds the ball will decide for us who and how we will play.

In true Olbermanesque fashion, the moderator, as with the mainstream, left-wing media, labels those who don't drink the same Kool Aid as the obama-nation being hyped upon us as hypocrits (sic). Well, I'll take the "hypocritical" musings of Cindy, Sludge and Cella over the garbage foisted upon me from some on this board and most of the empty, talking heads in broadcast and print media any day of the week.
Speaking of the demoted one, Mr. Olberman, it's too bad Chuck Knoblauch hit the tree instead of the nut that fell from it.

Moderates that you and others are, I appreciate that you call for the need to express more bigotry. We may not have to read it but would you have the same feeling if the comments were anti-Semitic. If you feel Cella's comments don't smack of bigotry and hatred than you don't know what you read. Not one of you researched the history of the Melanie Philips quote to see what kind of right wing nut she is considered in the UK. One need not be of Sludge intelligence to see the hate and distortions behind the rants. Also if you read the posts, the response came not from your cartoon, but from my comments on it. As intelligent as you are, try watching the knee jerks that came to the attack. Sludge tried to make himself the moderate here with his pandering to you, but in essence read his responses and one sees why his handle befits the level he submerges to when parading his attempt at intellectual commentary. Being tolerant of attacks on others when it fits your needs is not laudable but you would blanch at an attack on a very unsubstantiated comment made by you in your post below.

In essence I applaud all this calling for hate and fear by what is suppose to be an educated group. Only PS85 with his grammar school education can be forgiven as he should not be expected to know that more inaccuracies and dirty tactics have come for the McCain talking heads in broadcast and print media than the ones he has accused. In a campaign I expect discussions about issues and plans, and when one side has no clue to either, their partisans resort to what passes for intellectual discourse here. In the end, if even most are right in their hateful feelings, you have only yourself to blame with the choices and selections you have made the last 8 years.
