Fair enough.

Two year extension was unnecessary; if any, one max was more than enough. Let's hope new AD makes shrewder decisions going forward.

Unless Conley turns out to be a significant inside force, it will be VERY tough to succeed with this roster. Let's see; we all want it to happen.

The extension does a few things. It takes pressure off of the coach and the new AD and allows both to concentrate on their respective job's-at-hand.W-L only seems to be an issue with men's basketball. There was one coach who won
only one game in three seasons. Never saw one word about that posted on this board.
It also gives the college more time to make the upgrades that will make SPC more attractive to recruits. And, as each year passes the college has gradually been raising its standards for admission. That equates to smarter, more diciplined student atheletes.

dumbest rationalizations around. Basketball is the signature sport and if you have not noticed SPC comes in last in the Commissioner’s Standings year in and year out. People have complained about the state of the athletics for a long time and the fact that a coach with one win in three years is testament to that, and not germane to any discussion on Dunne.

What is your point? Besides calling me dumb? I've been called worse. My point was to make the college a better place for everyone, including all of the athletic teams, not just men's basketball. And, since when have we become accountable to the Commissioner? If the college does not meet his high standards, I doubt the shortcomings fall soley on the shoulders of John Dunne.
When the quality of our lives becomes dependent on the W-L record of a basketball team we are in serious trouble.
