3.A control over expenditure by:
(a)comparing actual with estimates expenses
(b)showing a complete breakdown of expenses by departments
(c)ensuring that expenditure incurred without benefits
(d)making departmental heads parties to the budget and thus securing their cooperation
4.A financial guide by:
(a) determoning the capital expenditure necessary for the budgeted production and sales
(b)ensuring that a adequate return is provided on the capital employed in the business.
