...faded grey mare stumbles in. She was ambling towards home, but couldn't make it. The swishing of the trees made such a pleasant sound and calmed her down. The ancient, near-white mare lays down upon a leaf litter bed, tucking her head towards her stomach, promising herself that she is just resting.

A tear trickles down her cheek as she thinks of Orion. He was awe-inspiring and she missed him dearly. Why did he have to go? Thinking of the grey stallion made her mind shift to Blue. Why did he leave her alone as well? Right after Blue Fire?

She wonders what has happened to her two offspring: Winter Star & Blue Fire.

...lifts head briefly, feeling weakened sensation coming o'er ancient body. She fights it for now in a desperate attempt to stay afloat against time...
