and find the geographic center of the state and you will be close! Basically I live out in the "boondocks" with "out in the middle of nowhere" being 10 minutes away. The Twin Cities are 2.5 hours away by Interstate so we don't get there too often. The nearest town that would have all the new movies is 45 minutes from us. Nice place to live out here but I do miss some of the FUN things you get in a larger community (I grew up in a much bigger city)! Please watch for me -- If I could fly my own plane, I'd definitely be down there watching too!
My idea of giving them time to write and direct would work if they would take an earlier episode that really wasn't answered or ended and run it--end with a "to be continued" and then the next week would be a new episode which was written and directed by whoever was interested. It would be sort of like running Squeeze (not a favorite but it works as an example) first and follow up with Tooms (again, another yuk--glad they ended that episode!) I guess I would be contented with that--as long as DD and GA were in the new ones of course! I figured that this would cut their taping time to half, and give them time to do movies, etc. Oh well--I wish someone from FOX would read this post and think about it. Of course, ALL NEW episodes would be the best, but this would be one way to extend the series for a long time--not just season 8!
My daughter just started watching XFiles and she's a classic example of how new fans are made. She wasn't interested in High School but now as a young adult, she became a fan! I think this is why Star Trek has been getting more and more fans over the years. You have to have exposure to a series over time and also be visible in the movies to gain a following.
Oh well, enough rambling! Have a GREAT TIME AT RTM for me! I'll keep watching for it to come up here!
