Subject: Well done to GA on her writing/Directing debut! (S7 spoilers -- All things)

Wow! What a brilliant ep! I really liked the way it looked but it wasn't really the usual X-files style (IMO anyway). It wasn't as dark and mysterious as usual.

I've heard people saying that it starts and ends in Mulders apartment and I can understand the ending but the opening scene seemed to have no relevence to anything why was it there? I thought it seemed out of place.

Is it my imagination or do M&S seem to be moving apart slightly right now? They've been getting closer and closer and more and more trusting of each other but now the seem to be working less as a team and I thought this whole ep accented that. Especially the scene in their office. Scully has never done that before, she's always at least heard Mulder out and then put up some sort of argument but in this ep she was just plain rude. I got the same impression in En Ami back in M's flat they seemed really distant. It was a really good closing scene though, a bit more like their normal relationship.

I loved some of the effects used in this ep, the way things kept slowing down like the tapping thingy on the window etc. and Scully's "vision" was pretty cool. Who was the blonde though? I didn't really get that, maybe we're not meant to. I don't think Mulder sould think about growing & bleaching his hair anytime soon, not really his style ;-)

Overall, I thought it was a good ep. Well done GA :-)
